Employee Wellness

Health is our business, and we believe wellness at work is imperative; it’s ingrained in our culture. Our Employee-led wellness teams and an Employee Assistance Program, designed to support employees in difficult times, ensure we deliver a wellness program that will enhance your health and wellbeing.

Our initiatives include:

  • Fresh fruit days
  • Healthy living lunch and learns
  • Registration fee reimbursement for physical fitness events (such as 5ks, triathlons, runs, etc.)

Contributing to Our Community

Led by a dedicated volunteer Community Team, our philanthropic efforts are employee-led and community focused.

The Community Team meets regularly to agree how we can support worthy causes in our local communities. All our employees are encouraged to contribute ideas for donations and put forward organizations for whom our support will have a profound impact. Organizations we have supported include:

  • United Way Employee Campaign – In 2017, more than US$75,000 was raised.
  • Children’s Park rehabilitation – We established a project funding the restoration of a local children’s park and playground and the establishment of a sponsored “Born Learning Trail” at the park, designed to provide an applied educational experience at the park for children and their parents.
  • Ronald McDonald Houses – In 2017, we partnered with the Ronald McDonald Houses, resulting in a gift of nearly US$30,000.





We are committed to supporting the development of the next generation of scientists and pharmaceutical professionals through S.T.E.M. programming in local schools.

We have established partnerships with universities in North Carolina providing financial and instructional support in chemistry, as well as the areas of curriculum development and student internships.

Our employees share their time, talents and expertise in classrooms. Throughout the years, these partnerships have nurtured the educational pursuits of thousands of current and future scientists, some of whom have joined our team.
